CARDEX & IT SECURITY

International Smart cards' and IT Security Systems' Trade Exhibition and Conference

Over the last few years, the plastic card industry has experienced dynamic growth in Ukraine and CIS. A major trend has emerged whereby plastic cards are used as an integrated instrument to carry out various social and economic projects. Now plastic cards have become multifunctional and offer more services than banks can provide. Plastic cards are used not only by trading companies, but also in transport, medicine, insurance, telecommunications, housing, passport/visa services, social security, hotel, service industry, etc. Implementation of systems that are based on card technologies makes transactions more effective and better controlled, whilst optimising the activities of private and state organisations.

However, the more plastic cards are used, the higher is the risk of fraud and private information leakage. As a result, greater security options are required and the use of IT security systems is becoming a top priority. Nowadays such technologies are used within the production of plastic cards: crypting, identification and data authentication technologies, document and calculation security, access control programmes for information resources and biometric technologies.

CARDEX & IT SECURITY, organised by Premier Expo (Ukraine) and ITE Group plc (UK), is a specialised forum, introducing most recent achievements within the plastic cards' production and the latest technology of information security. Visitors are able to see new smart card technologies whilst exhibitors find partners in banking, insurance, telecommunication, social services, hotel and restaurant chains and state institutions. The event is not focussed purely on banking. Instead, it promotes cross-sector interaction and the introduction of innovative products across a wide range of sectors.

The Department for Informatization of the NSU and the Ministry for Industrial Policy of Ukraine support CARDEX & IT SECURITY. print version
